It has come to the attention of the Department of Immigration that many Zimbabweans based outside the county are being duped by a false web-based e-visa platform when they tender their online visa applications.
This parallel website which appears as www.zimbabwevisa.com is not an authentic Zimbabwe Immigration website. The parallel web-based e-visa platform was unearthed folling numerous complaints of delays by viss applicants.
One of the characteristics of parallel platform is that it bears a disclaimer clause that it has no affiliation with the Government of Zimbabwe but it utilizes the Zimbabwe Government "coat of arms". Another feature of the fake website is that it does not generate an e-visa tracking number. In addition, its domain name bears a striking and misleading resemblance to the Zimbabwe Immigration website.
The public is hereby warned to desist from using www.zimbabwevisa.com when applying for Zimbabwe visas. Applications for visa to enter Zimbabwe must be done only on the official website www.evisa.gov.zw.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade wishes to advise the general public especially diaspotans to take serious heed of this warning.
In order to visit Zimbabwe you may need to apply for a visa. Your nationality will determine which of 3 visa requirement categories you fall into. Your category will tell you if you need to apply for a visa and when:
